International Mathematical Olympiad
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the world’s most prestigious mathematics competition for high school students. Held annually, it brings together the brightest young mathematicians from across the globe to solve complex mathematical problems. The event consists of two days of rigorous exams, featuring six problems that test students’ knowledge and creativity in areas such as algebra, number theory, geometry, and combinatorics. The IMO aims to promote the love of mathematics, challenge students to think critically, and recognize exceptional mathematical talent. Medals are awarded to top performers, and the experience often leads to academic and professional opportunities for the participants.
